Today, I’m excited to introduce the latest eyewear pieces from the Japanese brand "kearny," which continues to captivate fans with its craftsmanship and unique aesthetic.
This time, we are showcasing two models that combine classical details with a modern sensibility.
ウェリントンベースにツーブリッジを取り入れた、ラグジュアリーなチタンフレーム「K-2」。一見クラシカルでありながらも、ファッション性を兼ね備えた一本です。
【デザイン】
「K-2」は、デザイナーが娘の誕生をきっかけに聴くようになったクラシック音楽──特にシューベルト──から着想を得ています。シューベルトが愛用した“Kブリッジ”スタイルのメタルフレームにヒントを得て、そこから導かれた“K”シリーズの最新作。
クラシックな印象を持ちながらも、ツーブリッジ仕様にすることでスタイルに奥行きを生み、モードな雰囲気も漂います。ウェリントンのベーシックな土台に、デザインのエッセンスが絶妙に融合しています。

The "K-2" is a luxurious titanium frame that incorporates a two-bridge design, based on the Wellington style. It appears classic at first glance but also offers a fashionable edge.
Design
The "K-2" was inspired by classical music, particularly Schubert, which the designer began listening to after the birth of his daughter. Drawing inspiration from the metal frames with the “K bridge” style that Schubert favored, this design marks the latest addition to the “K” series.
While maintaining a classic impression, the two-bridge design adds depth to the style, giving it a more modern, fashionable flair. The essence of the design is skillfully integrated into the basic Wellington frame, offering a perfect balance.

存在感のあるフロントの厚みと、チタンのヨロイ・テンプルが絶妙に調和し、素材感の“差”を感じさせないバランスの取れた仕上がり。全体に統一感を持たせつつ、異素材の魅力をナチュラルに楽しめるデザインです。

The thick, bold front and the titanium arm temples harmonize perfectly, creating a balanced look that seamlessly blends the different materials. The design maintains a unified feel while allowing the charm of the contrasting materials to naturally shine through.
