This is Hasegawa from the select shop GANKO Takasaki.

Today, I’d like to share some exciting news: we will be hosting an in-store pre-order event for the Spring/Summer 2026 collection of CCU, a brand we are newly introducing from this Fall/Winter season.

You might be thinking, "Summer has just begun, and you're already talking about next year's Spring/Summer?" — but in the fashion world, the battle has already begun!

First, let me introduce the brand concept.

【CCU:ブランドコンセプト】

CCU(シーシーユー)というブランド名は ”チャグチャグ馬コ” というお祭りに由来する。

チャグチャグ馬コは、岩手の南部曲がり家に代表される「愛馬精神」から生まれ、まだ馬が農作業に使われていた頃、農繁期の中で唯一の休息日として設けられた行事が発祥となる。

CCUはその愛馬精神に敬意を込め、使う度に愛着が湧き、普遍的なプロダクトを目指。

「LEATHER-COMFORTALE-PRODUCT」をコンセプトに、従来のレザーの硬さや着にくさなどのイメージを払拭するような柔らかなレザーの素材選びや人体とレザーの間の余白を大事にしたパターンメイキングを行う。

日常に馴染むようなレザーアイテムがラインナップする。

The brand name CCU is derived from the “Chagu Chagu Umako” festival.

“Chagu Chagu Umako” was born from the “aiba spirit” (a deep devotion to horses) exemplified by the traditional Nanbu Magariya farmhouses of Iwate. In an era when horses were still used in agriculture, this festival originated as the one day of rest for both horse and rider during the busiest farming season.

CCU honors that aiba spirit by crafting timeless products that grow more beloved with every use.

With the concept of “LEATHER-COMFORTABLE-PRODUCT,” the brand focuses on selecting soft leather materials that challenge the traditional image of leather as stiff or difficult to wear. It also emphasizes pattern-making that values the space between the body and the leather.

The lineup features leather items designed to seamlessly blend into everyday life.
