Hello everyone!
This is Hasegawa from the select shop GANKO Takasaki.
Today, I’d like to introduce a styling idea featuring one of our VINTAGE pieces—a 1990s Pendleton Woolen Mills button-down long sleeve madras check shirt.
As always, I’ve styled it by mixing it with our select items, creating a look that I think is well worth checking out—so please stay with me until the end.
Let’s start with a coordination featuring the shirt on its own.

A classic style paired with THE DAY’s Moleskin Pleated Trousers.
The contrast between the moleskin and Pendleton’s wool fabric stands out, creating a look that evokes the feeling of autumn.
Next, the shirt is styled as an inner layer, worn under the jacket as part of a setup.

Wearing the shirt as an inner layer for the jacket creates an even more classic impression.
When paired with a black jacket, the colors of the shirt stand out beautifully, giving the outfit a great atmosphere.
Although it has a structured feel, the subtle sense of ease is something unique to vintage shirts.
Finally, here’s a styling with the YASHIKI cardigan as the main piece, with the shirt layered underneath.

Styling is dressed down by pairing with a KUON Boro Cap.
The contrast between the 100% cotton YASHIKI cardigan and the texture of Pendleton wool creates an exquisite balance and atmosphere.
It’s polished, yet not trying too hard—a perfect, subtle balance.
What do you think?
Depending on how you style it, the vintage Pendleton shirt can look completely different.
With its autumnal colors, it’s highly recommended for those who can find the right size.
