Hello everyone!
This is Hasegawa from the select shop GANKO Takasaki.
Today, I’d like to introduce the new release from YASHIKI—the one piece you’ll absolutely want for this winter!
A super versatile 100% cotton half-zip knit.
It’s timeless and understated, yet has a subtle touch of style. A piece you can wear at any age, for years to come. Don’t miss out on this new arrival!
First, the color options are Black and Greige.
As for the current stock situation, during the YASHIKI in-store pre-order event held around July, Greige in size 2 was completely reserved and sold out.
Actually, Black in size 2 was also fully reserved and sold out, but after today’s arrival I tried it on and…
It honestly felt even better than I expected.
I thought, “I really want as many people as possible to get their hands on this… there’s no way people won’t want it once they try it on.”
So I immediately called designer Yaho-san and had the previously sold-out Black size 2 replenished!
Being able to offer a piece that was technically sold out before release feels incredibly exciting.

【Design】
• Designed with the image of cold rain before the snow falls.
• The fine waffle pattern represents wet, black roads, while the diagonal lines on the shoulders and the small ridges express thunder and rain.
• Features the brand’s iconic [Yagasuri] pattern on the cuffs.
• When zipped up, it can be worn as a high neck; when unzipped, it creates a more relaxed look, making it versatile for both clean and casual styling.
• Made of 100% cotton, so it can be washed at home—easy care is another attractive point.
【Material】
• The base is knitted in piqué (kanoko), which has a textured surface, reducing skin contact and providing a smooth feel.
• Uses the plating technique, where different yarns are knitted on the front and back sides, creating depth and dimension with a two-tone expression.
• Equipped with a smooth YKK zipper.
【Silhouette / Size】
• Designed with YASHIKI’s signature kimono-inspired pattern, allowing the shoulders to drop naturally for a soft impression.

Styling with YASHIKI’s new half-zip knit in black, a piece I picked up during the latest buying accident.
The slacks are from Sayatomo, crafted from T/R fabric. At first glance, it looks like wool, but it’s actually a polyester, rayon, and polyurethane blend—much more flexible and comfortable than it appears, with the bonus of an internal drawstring for ease.
Since the silhouette is slim, I decided to push a fully classic approach: pairing it with an Old Joe club jacket and a Henley tee underneath. I kept the half-zip knit open to let the Henley subtly peek through.
A detail I paid special attention to is the layered balance at the hem—deliberately letting the T-shirt show from beneath the knit for just the right proportion.
Of course, whether to show the T-shirt or not is a matter of preference, but this time I went with the visible style.
When you get down to the finer details in a classic look, it really creates a distinct, elevated impression.

For this styling, I paired a leather tailored jacket as the main piece with a half-zip knit as the inner layer.
By the way, the slacks I styled it with are from SAYATOMO, a pants-focused brand directed by Yaho-san himself.
Needless to say, they pair perfectly with YASHIKI knits.
The knit works beautifully as a main piece, yet also shines as an inner layer. Simple, but with just the right amount of sophistication—absolutely outstanding.
And here’s the best part: while half-zip knits made of wool or cashmere would easily exceed ¥50,000, this one comes in under ¥40,000.
Plus, since it’s 100% cotton, it’s washable.
The fabric weight is just right—you can comfortably wear it now all the way through March and even into April.
As mentioned in the blog title, I can confidently say this is a truly stylish knit that works for absolutely everyone.
That “for everyone” aspect is the key point—I really believe it can be worn across all generations.
It’s perfect not only as a main item for fall and winter but also as a practical inner layer for those looking for versatility.
This post turned out quite long, so I’ll introduce the SAYATOMO easy slacks separately in tomorrow’s entry!
See you next time!
