・12.4oz OLDJOE original denim
・糸から拘り、オリジナルのバルキーさを表現し、ラスティックなネップ感を入れ込み、デニムの産地、井原にて製作
・経糸にムラ、ネップ形状の強いものを黒味の強いインディゴ染料で染色し、ヨコ糸は比較的ベージュ味の綿を厳選し強撚をかけて糸に
・生地はいわゆるキバタと言われる織り上がった状態のものから、特殊な方法でサンフォライズ(防縮加工)のみをかけている
・通常の防縮方法とは違いますのでいわゆるリジッドデニムと呼ばれる表面にノリが付着した固い生地にはならず柔らかな手触りを表現

[Design]

A signature denim piece from OLD JOE.

Unlike well-known traditional denim jacket patterns, this design features a refined, shirt-like pointed collar with a clean roll, offering an elegant silhouette.

Original details are found throughout, such as large lining pockets and selvage gusset construction at the cuffs.

[Fabric]

Made with 12.4oz OLD JOE original denim.

Carefully developed from the yarn up to achieve a unique bulky texture, incorporating rustic nep elements, and woven in Ibara, a region known for high-quality denim.

The warp yarns are strongly slubbed and nepped, dyed using a deep indigo with a blackish cast. The weft yarns are tightly twisted, using selected beige-toned cotton for added contrast and character.

The fabric undergoes a special sanforization (anti-shrink) process without starching, resulting in a soft touch rather than the stiffness typical of conventional rigid denim.

The result is a denim that offers a rich texture and depth of color, combining primitive charm with modern elegance—characteristic of OLD JOE’s original denim craftsmanship.
