・糸から拘り、オリジナルのバルキーさを表現し、ラスティックなネップ感を入れ込み、デニムの産地、 井原にて製作
・経糸にムラ、ネップ形状の強いものを黒味の強いインディゴ染料で染色し、ヨコ糸は比較的ベージュ味の綿を厳選し強撚をかけて糸に
・生地はいわゆるキバタと言われる織り上がった状態のものから、特殊な方法でサンフォライズ(防縮加工)のみをかけている
・通常の防縮方法とは違いますのでいわゆるリジッドデニムと呼ばれる表面にノリが付着した固い生地にはならず柔らかな手触りを表現

• Developed from the yarn up, expressing an original bulky character with a rustic nep texture, woven in the denim production region of Ibara.
• The warp yarns are dyed with deep indigo using strongly irregular and nepped yarns, while the weft yarns use carefully selected beige-toned cotton spun with strong twist.
• The fabric is woven in its raw “kibata” state, then given only a special sanforization (shrink-proofing) process.
• Unlike standard shrink-proofing methods, this results in a soft hand feel rather than the stiff, glue-coated surface typical of rigid denim.
• With its distinctive texture, rich color tone, and tactile feel, combined with ease of wear and thoughtful yarn selection, this denim embodies OLD JOE’s uniquely primitive yet modern presence.
