【素材】
・生地の裏側にループ状のパイルが出るように編まれた「裏毛（うらけ）」素材を使用したスウェット生地
・表はフラットで、裏がタオル地のようにループが並んでいるのが特徴
・裏のループ部分が汗を吸収しやすく、通気性も良い
・蒸れにくいため、長時間の着用でも快適
・ゴワつきが少なく、デイリーに使いやすい
・秋口から春先まで、長いシーズン活躍
・洗い込むことで裏ループが少し潰れ、風合いが増す経年変化を楽しめる

[Design]

GANKO-exclusive “Sashiko Sweatshirt” hand-stitched by the Sashiko Gals.

Each stitch is done by hand, allowing you to feel the warmth and care of traditional craftsmanship.

Features sashiko embroidery at the neckline and cuffs.

Constructed with two-piece sleeves to create a three-dimensional silhouette with sharp definition.

Sashiko Gals is a project founded in 2024 by about 15 women aged 40 to 80 living in Ōtsuchi, Iwate Prefecture. It originates from the “Ōtsuchi Sashiko Project,” which began as a support initiative following the Great East Japan Earthquake.

[GANKO Exclusive Points]

Inspired by the Sapeur style — a form of fashion culture seen in the Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo, known for its affinity with the GANKO logo.

The sashiko embroidery at the neckline and cuffs uses thread colors red, green, yellow, and blue, mirroring the vibrant tones found in Sapeur photography.

Features a gray body color not available in the 25AW inline sweatshirts.

The sashiko placement at the neckline and cuffs serves as a styling accent, whether worn as the main piece or layered.

Sleeve lines were specifically added to apply sashiko embroidery not present in the inline version, serving both functional and design purposes.

Sapeurs are individuals in the Congo who embrace the style of SAPE (French: Société des ambianceurs et des personnes élégantes — “Society of Ambiance-Makers and Elegant Gentlemen”).

[Material]

Made from loop-back cotton fleece (urake) fabric, with flat outer surface and looped pile interior.

The looped interior absorbs sweat easily and provides excellent breathability.

Resistant to stuffiness, ensuring long-lasting comfort even with extended wear.

Soft and easy to wear daily without stiffness.

Suitable for long seasonal use, from early autumn to spring.

Over time and repeated washing, the loops compress slightly, enhancing the fabric’s texture and character.

With wear and wash, the fabric becomes softer and molds naturally to the body.

[Silhouette & Fit]

Designed with a wider body and shorter length than a standard sweatshirt.

Neckline, cuffs, and hem feature original rib knitting, giving a clean, boxy silhouette.

At 175cm / 65kg, staff wears size L for a comfortable fit.

At 160cm, female staff wears size M for a relaxed fit.

[Attention]

This product may experience slight shrinkage or stretching after washing.

Expect approximately half a size of shrinkage after the first wash.
