・1950年代のLevi'sファースト型がベースとなったBIO
・リーバイスファースト型が店頭で売られていたサイズを抽出してパターンを製作
・洗い縮みによるシルエットの歪みを排除し、純オリジナルな50年代のバランスを忠実に再現
・前立ての両脇に設えたアクションプリーツ
・左胸にフラップ付きポケットを配置
・バックの腰部分にシンチバックと革パッチを配置
・ボタンフライ仕様、オーベルジュオリジナルのメタル系のボタンを使用
・ヴィンテージムラ糸の風合いを忠実に再現するため、50～60年代のリーバイスの色味を世界的デニム生地メーカー"カイハラ"に依頼
・数あるデニムジャケットの中でも、ヴィンテージの風格と繊細なディテールを忠実に再現し、唯一無二の存在感を放つ一着

【素材】
・大正紡オーガニックコットンにスビンの落ち綿をブレンドした、厳しい国際オーガニック認証をクリアした高品質なものを採用
・ピュアインディゴによるロープ染色を施し、意図的にリアルヴィンテージな濃過ぎない中濃度の仕上がりに調整
・緯糸にはデザイナー小林氏が所有する「ビングクロスビーJK」の日焼けしたベージュをイメージしたスレン染料染めの糸を打ち込んでいる

・AUBERGEの定番シリーズであるBIO。私自身はあまりデニムジャケットを仕入れないのですが、濃すぎないデニムの色合いやオーガニックコットンを使用したクラシカルな佇まいの、ファースト型ジャケットに惹かれました。
後ほど入荷予定となる「PAUL」とセットアップで着用するのもおすすめですし、スラックスやANTON(アントン）ヒッコリーストライプのダブルニーと合わせてもかっこいいです〇

An early-style denim jacket proposed by AUBERGE.

Design

The BIO model is based on the 1950s first-type denim jacket from Levi's.

The pattern was created by referencing the actual sizes that were sold in stores at the time.

By eliminating the distortion caused by shrinkage after washing, the jacket faithfully reproduces the original balance of 1950s designs.

Features action pleats on both sides of the front placket.

A flap pocket is placed on the left chest.

The back waist area features a cinch-back and leather patch.

Designed with a button-front closure using original metal buttons by AUBERGE.

To faithfully recreate the texture of vintage uneven yarn, the color tone of 1950s–60s Levi’s denim was reproduced in collaboration with the globally renowned denim fabric manufacturer Kaihara Denim.

Among the many denim jackets available, this piece stands out with its faithful reproduction of vintage character and delicate details, giving it a truly unique presence.

Material

Made from high-quality cotton that passed strict international organic certification, blending Taisho Spinning organic cotton with Suvin cotton waste fibers.

Dyed using pure indigo rope dyeing, intentionally adjusted to a slightly lighter medium indigo tone to replicate the look of authentic vintage denim rather than an overly dark finish.

The weft yarn uses sulfur-dyed threads inspired by the sun-faded beige tone of the “Bing Crosby jacket” owned by designer Kobayashi.

Silhouette & Size

A classic silhouette with a well-balanced, moderate fit.

At 175 cm / 65 kg, size 42 provides a just-fit silhouette.

At 175 cm / 65 kg, size 44 offers a more relaxed fit.

Buyer’s Voice

The BIO is one of AUBERGE’s signature series. Personally, I do not often buy denim jackets for the shop, but I was drawn to the not overly dark denim color and the classic appearance created with organic cotton, which gives this first-type jacket a refined vintage atmosphere.

It can be worn as a set-up with the “PAUL” pants scheduled to arrive later, but it also pairs well with slacks or the hickory stripe double-knee pants from ANTON, creating a very stylish look.
