A Beethoven piece unique to AUBERGE, inspired by the spirit of a classic jazz standard.

Design

The Beethoven motif on the chest is expressed through embroidery, not print.

Created using a technique from an embroidery factory in Kiryu, Gunma, which reproduces photographic images with needle movements resembling the motion of a seismograph.

The result is a retro, art-inspired finish, making it one of the designer’s favorite pieces.

The image is used with proper product licensing, with official licensing fees paid.

Beethoven was intentionally chosen because many brands have used this motif, often simply printing it. AUBERGE approached it differently—treating the motif like a jazz standard and “performing” it in their own way.

For that reason, a well-known classic motif was selected.

Pieces featuring this motif are highly valued in the vintage market.

Made from vintage-inspired sinker-knit loopback fleece.

The inner loops are raised to create a texture similar to traditional loopwheel fleece.
