Design
• Vintage-inspired zip-fly 5-pocket denim featuring eye-catching fabric patches that combine machine stitching and sashiko stitching
• Carefully engineered darts at the yoke improve fit around the hips, while a gusseted construction—similar to climbing pants—ensures excellent ease of movement
• Reinforced back pockets with a lower-half overlay, accented by sashiko stitching near the side hem of the panel
• Front pockets are designed to sit 0.5 cm off the body, allowing smooth and easy hand access
• Each stitch of sashiko is applied by hand, conveying the warmth and character of true craftsmanship
• Sashiko Gals refers to a project rooted in the “Otsuchi Sashiko Project,” which began as part of recovery support following the Great East Japan Earthquake. Established in 2024, it consists of approximately 15 women aged from their 40s to 80s living in Otsuchi Town, Iwate Prefecture
