立ち切り仕様やジッパー＋ボタンデザインなど服好きにささるコート

【デザイン】
・レザーカバーオールをベースに、ボリュームのあるコートへとアレンジした一着
・素材にはデニムを使用し、ワークウェアを思わせるラフなディテールをプラス
・仕立ては、二つ折りにして立ち切りにしたラフな仕様を採用
・伸び切ったようなアクションプリーツを組み合わせることで、あえて野暮ったさを残した独特の雰囲気に
・襟裏にはカンガルーのニベ革を使用。素材をあえて目立たせるのではなく、襟を少し持ち上げたときにだけ異なる素材感がさりげなく覗き、アクセントになるように設計
・Aging（エイジング）は、革の「茶芯」と呼ばれるヴィンテージレザーの経年変化をイメージ
・単純にヴィンテージを再現するのではなく、加工そのものをデザインとして捉え、意図的に経年変化を表現
・デザインとしての存在感を生み出すため、あえて実用性だけを目的としないポケットや、前振りの袖、クッション性を持たせたディテールなどを取り入れている
・既存のヴィンテージやバイカーウェアの文脈だけに捉われず、ファッションとしての革の経年変化を追求した、他にはない一着
・着るインナーにより袖を調整可能なスナップボタンが両サイドにつき、好みで袖回りの調整が可能
・このディテールは中々他ブランドでもなくbarbellobjectらしさを感じることのできるディテール
・シッパー＋スナップのデザインは実用性も兼ね備えつつ、スナップボタンを留めると違和感あるシルエットを生み出し、その違和感が他にない着こなしの楽しみを与えてくれる

【素材】
・生地にはデニムを採用
・緯糸を飛ばした緩やかな綾組織に、太番手の綿糸を超強撚した糸を組み合わせて織り上げている
・仕上げの工程でしっかりと目付を加えることで、厚みと存在感のある生地に仕上げている
・襟裏にはカンガルーのニベ革を使用
・カンガルー革の肉面側から出る繊維・副産物を利用した素材ニベを使用
・副産物を使用しているため、サスティナブルな製品でもある
・不均一な毛足の様なものは、駆除され身と皮を剥がす際に裏面に付いた肉や皮下脂肪の繊維で、毛足が荒めで不均一な粗野な風合いを残しつつ、仕様のオリジナリティを惹き立てている
・カンガルーの革自体は軽く、強度があり、しなやか
・硫化染めによるブラックデニムのため、着用や洗いを重ねることで色が抜け、自然なアタリや陰影が生まれやすいのも特徴
・着込むほどに表情が変化し、自分だけの一着へと育っていく素材

・デニムカバーオールという商品名ではあるが、コートの認識で問題ない雰囲気のライトアウターでオーバーシルエット
・やや縦長シルエットでユーロ感もある雰囲気

【バイヤーズボイス】
・ジッパー+スナップボタンのデザインはカバーオールというアイテムながら、幅広い着こなしを楽しめる。着用画像をご覧いただくと、なんとなく伝わるかもしれません、、
カバーオールと言いながらも、矛盾と感じますが、コートと言えるディテールになってます。見た目ではカバーオールなのですが、着用したシルエットはコートそのもの。
この商品はそんな矛盾した違和感も個人的にはブランドらしさがあり、ファッションと服そのものの楽しさを感じることができる一着かと思ってます。
余談ですが、私は 「600511 cap https://ganko.base.ec/items/154660552」を買いましたが、このキャップや革靴をお持ちの方はセットでコーディネートいただくと
よりブランドらしいスタイリングを楽しめるのではないかと思ってます。その辺の合わせもデザイナーが意図しているのでは？と勝手に解釈してます。
さりげなく同素材を使っていると、小物もセットで合わせたくなりますね。。　是非お持ちの方は手にしてください（笑）
立ち切りにしたデザインはどこかアルチザンも感じることができ、色々が服好きにささる見た目になってます。

A Coat Full of Details That Will Appeal to Those Who Appreciate Clothing — From Its Raw-Cut Construction to Its Zipper-and-Snap Design
【Design】
Based on a leather coverall, this piece has been reinterpreted as a voluminous coat.
Made from denim, with rugged, workwear-inspired details added throughout.
The construction features a rough, folded-and-cut finish that intentionally retains an unfinished feel.
Combined with action pleats that appear almost fully extended, the design creates a distinctive, deliberately awkward and utilitarian character.
Kangaroo leather is used on the underside of the collar. Rather than making the material immediately visible, it is designed to subtly reveal its contrasting texture when the collar is slightly lifted, creating an understated accent.
The aging treatment is inspired by the patina of vintage leather with a “tea-core” effect, where the original brown base gradually emerges as the surface wears away.
Rather than simply reproducing a vintage aesthetic, the aging process itself is treated as an integral part of the design, deliberately creating the appearance of natural wear over time.
To give the piece a stronger presence as a fashion item, the design incorporates pockets that are not intended solely for practicality, forward-set sleeves, and dimensional details with a cushioned quality.
Rather than being confined to the existing vocabulary of vintage or biker wear, this is a unique piece that explores the aging of leather as a form of fashion in its own right.
Snap buttons are placed on both sides of the sleeves, allowing the sleeve openings to be adjusted depending on what you wear underneath.
This is an unusual detail rarely seen from other brands and one that strongly reflects the distinctive character of barbell object.
The combination of a zipper and snap buttons provides practical functionality while also creating an intentionally unconventional silhouette when the snaps are fastened. This subtle sense of incongruity opens up styling possibilities that are unlike those of conventional coveralls.
【Material】
The body is made from denim.
The fabric is woven with a loose twill construction featuring floating weft yarns, combined with thick cotton yarns that have been given an extremely high twist.
A substantial amount of weight is added during the finishing process, resulting in a thick, substantial fabric with a strong presence.
Kangaroo leather is used on the underside of the collar.
The leather uses nibe, a material made from fibrous byproducts found on the flesh side of kangaroo hide.
By making use of these byproducts, the material also represents a more sustainable approach to leather production.
The uneven, hair-like fibers visible on the surface are remnants of flesh and subcutaneous tissue left on the underside during the processing of the hide. Their rough and irregular texture is intentionally retained, enhancing the originality of the design while giving the collar a raw, distinctive character.
Kangaroo leather itself is lightweight, strong, and supple.
The body uses sulfur-dyed black denim, which is designed to develop natural fading, wear patterns, and tonal variation through repeated wear and washing.
The more you wear it, the more its character evolves, allowing it to gradually become a truly personal piece.
【Silhouette & Sizing】
Although described as a denim coverall, it has the presence of a coat and can be thought of as a lightweight outerwear piece with an oversized silhouette.
The slightly elongated proportions give it a subtle European feel.
The combination of front snap buttons and a zipper allows the silhouette to be altered by fastening the snaps, offering different styling options depending on your mood.
At 175 cm / 65 kg, size 1 can be worn with a slightly relaxed fit.
At 175 cm / 65 kg, size 2 can be worn oversized.
【Attention】

【Buyer's Voice】

The combination of a zipper and snap buttons allows this piece to be styled in a surprisingly wide range of ways, even though it is technically a coverall. You may get a better sense of what I mean from the styling photos.

Although it is called a coverall, there is an interesting contradiction here. The details clearly reference a coverall, while the silhouette when worn feels much more like a coat. In other words, it looks like a coverall at first glance, but once you put it on, the silhouette is unmistakably that of a coat.

Personally, I think this kind of contradiction and subtle sense of incongruity is part of what makes the piece feel so true to the character of the brand. It is a garment that allows you to enjoy both fashion and the inherent fun of clothing itself.

As a side note, I purchased the “600511 CAP” myself. If you already own this cap or a pair of leather shoes from the brand, I think wearing them together would create an even stronger barbell object look.

I may be reading too much into it, but I like to think that these kinds of combinations were intended by the designer. When the same material appears subtly across different pieces, it naturally makes you want to style the accessories together as well.

So, if you already own pieces from the brand, I highly recommend giving this one a try.（笑）

The raw-cut construction also has an almost artisanal quality to it, giving the piece a distinctive appearance with plenty of details that will appeal to anyone who genuinely loves clothing.
