【素材】
・生地の裏側にループ状のパイルが出るように編まれた「裏毛（うらけ）」素材を使用したスウェット生地
・表はフラットで、裏がタオル地のようにループが並んでいるのが特徴

Design

Vintage boro fabric is incorporated as an accent on the left sleeve
The boxy silhouette falls naturally and creates a strong presence as the centerpiece of an outfit, while also working beautifully as a layering piece
Sashiko Gals is a project established in 2024 by approximately 15 women aged from their 40s to 80s living in Otsuchi, Iwate Prefecture. The project traces its roots to the Otsuchi Sashiko Project, which began as part of reconstruction efforts following the Great East Japan Earthquake
The fabric is not particularly heavy for a sweatshirt, with a weight and feel closer to a substantial thermal
Due to the handmade nature of the sashiko stitching, each piece varies slightly, making every item essentially one of a kind.
Material
Made from French terry (urake) sweatshirt fabric, knitted so that looped pile appears on the reverse side
The surface is smooth and flat, while the reverse features rows of loops similar to towel fabric
The looped reverse side readily absorbs sweat while providing good breathability
Its breathable construction helps prevent stuffiness, making it comfortable even during extended wear
With minimal stiffness, it is easy to wear as an everyday piece
Suitable for a long season, from early autumn through early spring
With repeated washing and wear, the reverse loops gradually flatten, developing an increasingly rich texture and character over time
The fabric becomes softer and naturally conforms to the body with continued wear and washing
A garment wash and tumble-drying process give the fabric a soft, plump finish
Silhouette & Sizing
A balanced silhouette with generous shoulder and chest room, a slightly shorter body length, and relatively slim sleeves
