【デザイン】
・縫い目・切り目のない一枚裁ちの袖『キモノスリーブ』を採用したKUON的ワークシャツジャケットをベースとした別注アイテム
・フロントはダブルフラップデザインでワーク感も残したシャツだが、ブラックデニムのため、きれいめモードにも合わせることができる
・刺し子がバランスよく配置されている為、メインでも映えるし、インナー使いした時も刺し子が見えてアクセントに
・ボディーには二重のデニム生地を使用している
・裾はカットオフ仕様のため、通常のデニムシャツとは異なるファッション性の高い一着に
・袖は2ボタン仕様のため、着るインナーにより袖の調整が可能
・1点ずつ個体差があり、実質1点物と言える仕様

【GANKO（別注）ポイント】
・今回のプロダクトはKUON26AWインラインにも存在せず、カラー、パーツ、刺し子、裾の立ち切りデザインを大幅に変更した完全オリジナルアイテム
・群馬県高崎市にある当店でしか手にできないスペシャルなアイテム
・26awインラインに展開されている刺し子のブラックデニムとセットアップ着用可能な刺し子デニムシャツが欲しく今回別注企画として展開
・カットオフ仕様がとても好きで当店仕様に変更
・ボタンはインラインでも存在しないメタル(シルバー)ボタンに変更、50個以上のボタンから厳選した当店のみで使用するボタン
・左胸ポケットフラップ口の刺し子はさりげなく「GANKO」の刺し子が入る
・そのほかの刺子の配置に関してはデザイナー石橋氏のバランス感を信頼していたため、お任せいたしました

【素材】
・約8オンスほどのライトオンスなので、秋口はメイン使い、冬はインナーとしても使用可能
・一般的なデニムに比べて軽量で、程よい柔らかさと軽快な着心地が特徴
・デニムらしいしっかりとした表情を残しながらも、厚手の生地特有のゴワつきが少なく、自然な落ち感を楽しめる仕上がり
・デニムの生地、児島の職人の手によるダメージ加工を施したヴィンテージ仕様
・ボタンは厳選したメタルボタンを使用
・着込むほどに表情が変化し、自分だけの一着へと育っていく素材

KUON / GANKO Exclusive Kimono-Sleeve Denim Work Shirt Jacket
Handcrafted by the internationally acclaimed Sashiko GALS
DESIGN
A GANKO-exclusive piece based on KUON’s work shirt jacket, featuring kimono sleeves, a one-piece sleeve construction cut without conventional seams or breaks.
The double-flap front retains the utilitarian character of a work shirt, while the black denim color allows it to be styled with cleaner, more mode-oriented looks as well.
Sashiko stitching is thoughtfully placed throughout the body, allowing it to make a strong statement when worn as the main piece while also remaining visible as an accent when layered underneath outerwear.
The body is constructed from double-layer denim fabric, giving the shirt jacket a substantial presence.
The hem features a cut-off finish, giving it a more fashion-forward character that differs from conventional denim shirts.
The sleeves feature a two-button closure, allowing the sleeve opening to be adjusted depending on the inner layer being worn.
Each piece has slight variations due to the handmade process, making every garment essentially one of a kind.
The sashiko stitching is applied entirely by hand, one stitch at a time, giving the garment the warmth and character of traditional handcraft.
About Sashiko GALS

Sashiko GALS is a project founded in 2024 by approximately 15 women in their 40s to 80s living in Otsuchi, Iwate Prefecture. The project traces its roots to the Otsuchi Sashiko Project, which was launched as part of reconstruction efforts following the Great East Japan Earthquake.

GANKO EXCLUSIVE DETAILS
This product does not exist in KUON’s 26AW inline collection. It is a completely original GANKO-exclusive piece with significant modifications to the color, hardware, sashiko placement, and cut-off hem design.
A special item available exclusively at GANKO in Takasaki, Gunma, Japan.
We wanted to create a sashiko denim shirt that could be worn as a matching set with the sashiko black denim trousers from KUON’s 26AW collection, which led us to develop this exclusive piece.
We have always been particularly drawn to cut-off hems, so we requested this detail specifically for the GANKO version.
The buttons have been changed to metal silver buttons, which are not used in KUON’s inline collection. We carefully selected these buttons from more than 50 options, making them exclusive hardware used only for this GANKO edition.
Subtle “GANKO” sashiko stitching is incorporated into the flap opening of the left chest pocket.
For the placement of the remaining sashiko details, we trusted designer Ishibashi’s sense of balance and left the final arrangement to him.
MATERIAL
Made from a lightweight denim fabric of approximately 8 oz, making it suitable as a main layer in early autumn and as an inner layer during winter.
Compared to conventional denim, the fabric is lightweight and offers a comfortable balance of softness and ease of movement.
While retaining the substantial character of denim, it avoids the stiffness and bulkiness often associated with heavier-weight denim, allowing the fabric to fall naturally and create a relaxed drape.
The denim has been given a vintage-inspired appearance through hand-applied distressing by skilled artisans in Kojima, one of Japan’s renowned denim-producing regions.
Carefully selected metal buttons are used throughout.
With continued wear, the fabric develops a changing character and gradually becomes a piece that is uniquely your own.
SILHOUETTE & SIZE
Designed with a moderate amount of room so that it can be worn both as a lightweight outer layer and as an inner layer.
The slightly shorter body length makes it easy to maintain balanced proportions, even for those with a shorter stature, while also making it particularly easy to layer.
At 175 cm / 65 kg, Size M can be worn with a true-to-size fit.
At 175 cm / 65 kg, Size L provides a comfortably relaxed fit.
At 175 cm / 65 kg, Size XL creates an oversized silhouette.
CARE
The sashiko threads are relatively resistant to fraying, but we recommend turning the garment inside out and placing it in a laundry net when washing.
