【デザイン】
・ご好評につき、再販売となるアイテム
・今季は仕様を変更し、総裏仕立てにアップデート。ファスナーには、これまで使用していたWALDESからUNIVERSALへ変更
・本製品は、加工を一着ずつ手作業で施しているため、一度に生産できる数量には限りがあります
・加工には時間だけでなく、作り手の体力や感覚、コンディションまで必要となるがゆえ
・「茶芯」を再解釈した、独自の経年変化
・「茶芯」一説には、かつてアメリカでブラウンとブラック、両方のオーダーに対応するため、まず革をブラウンに染め、ブラックの注文が入った際に表面へブラックの顔料を施していたことが、その起源のひとつとも言われている
・時を経て表面のブラックが擦れ、下地のブラウンが現れる。その経年変化が、現在では「茶芯」としてひとつの価値を持つ表情に
・本プロダクトでは、そうしたバイカーウェアに見られる茶芯の表情をそのまま再現するのではなく、ラグジュアリーブランドやメゾンの衣服に見られる、嗜好品としての経年変化をテーマに独自のアプローチで製作
・デザインとしての存在感を生み出すため、あえて実用性だけを目的としないポケットや、前振りの袖、クッション性を持たせたディテールなどを取り入れている
・既存のヴィンテージやバイカーウェアの文脈だけに捉われず、ファッションとしての革の経年変化を追求した、他にはない一着

【素材】
・軽量でしなやかながら、繊維が密で耐久性にも優れた山羊革を採用
・独特の細かなシボ感と、着用を重ねることで生まれる艶や馴染みを楽しめる素材
・革には軽やかな質感のクローム鞣しを採用し、その上から表情を覆い隠すほど厚く顔料を塗布
・その後、縫い代部分をアルコールで拭き取り、下地の色を露出させている
・箇所ごとに異なる粗さのヤスリを使い分け、傷を付けたり革を削り込んだりすることで、自然な使用感を表現
・そこから水通しを行い、短時間で熱乾燥。革から浮き出てくるオイルも、アルコールと水を使って数回にわたり脱脂することで、あえてカサついた、乾いたような表面感へと仕上げている
・加工の強弱は一着ずつ感覚で調整しているため、同じ表情の個体は存在しない
・傷の入り方、顔料の残り方、下地の見え方など、一着ごとに異なる仕上がりを楽しんでいただける
・均一な完成度を追求するのではなく、あえてイメージを固定せず、その時々の感覚で加工することによって生まれる予測できない表情こそ、このプロダクトの魅力

A Virtually One-of-a-Kind Leather Coverall, Hand-Finished According to the Designer’s Skill, Sensibility, and Condition
Design
Re-released due to popular demand.
This season, the design has been updated with a fully lined construction, and the zipper has been changed from WALDES, previously used, to UNIVERSAL.
Each garment is individually hand-finished, which naturally limits the number that can be produced at one time.
The finishing process requires not only considerable time, but also the designer’s physical stamina, sensibility, and condition on the day of production.
An original interpretation of the aging process known as “tea-core” leather.
One theory behind tea-core leather is that American manufacturers once dyed leather brown as a base in order to accommodate both brown and black orders, applying black pigment over the brown leather when a black order was placed.
Over time, the black surface would wear away, revealing the brown base underneath. This distinctive aging process eventually came to be valued as the characteristic “tea-core” appearance.
Rather than simply reproducing the tea-core look traditionally associated with biker wear, this product takes a different approach, drawing inspiration from the way luxury and maison brands explore aging as part of clothing as a form of personal indulgence.
To create a distinctive visual presence, the design incorporates pockets that go beyond pure functionality, forward-set sleeves, and cushioned details.
Rather than being confined to the traditional context of vintage or biker wear, this piece explores the aging of leather from a fashion-oriented perspective, resulting in a truly distinctive garment.
Material
Made from goat leather, which is lightweight and supple while offering excellent durability thanks to its dense fiber structure.
The leather has a distinctive fine grain and develops a beautiful sheen and increasingly natural hand feel with wear.
A lightweight chrome-tanned leather is used, over which a thick layer of pigment is applied to almost completely conceal the original surface.
The pigment is then wiped away from the seam allowances using alcohol, exposing the underlying color.
Different grades of sandpaper are used depending on the area, creating scratches and selectively abrading the leather to reproduce a natural, well-worn appearance.
The leather is then washed and subjected to a short period of heat drying. Oils brought to the surface of the leather are repeatedly removed using alcohol and water, intentionally creating a dry, slightly crisp surface texture.
The intensity of the finishing is adjusted individually by hand, meaning that no two garments have exactly the same appearance.
Each piece has its own unique combination of scratches, remaining pigment, and exposed base color.
Rather than pursuing uniformity, the process deliberately avoids fixing a predetermined image. The unpredictable character created through the maker’s intuition and sensibility is one of the defining attractions of this product.
Silhouette & Sizing
Rather than approaching it simply as a leather jacket, this piece is designed to function exactly as its name suggests—as a coverall, with a comfortably relaxed fit.
An ideal choice for those who appreciate the classic coverall silhouette but want it in leather.
The combination of front snap buttons and a zipper allows the silhouette to change significantly when the buttons are fastened, creating different styling options depending on your mood.
At 175 cm / 65 kg, the model wears size 1 with a slightly relaxed fit.
