実際に展示会へ行かせていただき、実は別のブランドをご紹介いただいたのですが、裏からチラ見えしたこのブランドのデニムの存在感が凄くて、試着した瞬間にかっこいいなと。
正直デニムで私自身が感動することはあまり多くないのですが、このブランドのデニムは作り込みもすばらしく加工のバランス感も良くて皆様にご提案したいと思いました。
商品名に日本各地の地名を使っているのは、実は海外ニーズに対してキャッチーで興味を持ってもらうためという考え方も面白く、作り込みから品名の付け方まで

The design is based on the timelessly popular Type I denim jacket originally associated with Levi’s.
A relaxed oversized silhouette and distinctive T-back construction give the jacket a strong vintage character while creating a modern, voluminous fit.
Selvedge detailing is incorporated on the inside of the cuffs, adding a subtle accent when the sleeves are rolled up.
Topping and distressing treatments create a dimensional, richly textured surface with an authentic vintage-inspired character.

Material
An original fabric developed exclusively for NEEDBY VINTAGE.
Open-end spun yarn is used for the weft, while i-Next is adopted for the dyeing process as part of the brand’s commitment to more sustainable manufacturing.
Unlike conventional ring-spun yarn, open-end yarn is produced using a different spinning method. Used for the weft, it gives the denim a subtly dry, relaxed character and a naturally authentic denim appearance.
A traditional selvedge construction reminiscent of vintage denim.
Despite its substantial texture and unmistakable denim presence, the fabric is surprisingly lightweight, making it comfortable and easy to wear.

Buyer’s Voice

Let me start with how NEEDBY VINTAGE came to GANKO.

Someone from the company first visited our store, and that was actually how I discovered the brand. I later visited their exhibition, where I was originally introduced to another brand.

But from behind the racks, I caught a glimpse of these NEEDBY VINTAGE denim pieces, and the presence of the denim immediately caught my attention.

The moment I tried this jacket on, I thought, “This is really good.”

To be honest, I don’t often find myself genuinely impressed by denim. But NEEDBY VINTAGE really stood out to me. The level of detail in the construction is excellent, and I particularly liked the balance of the finishing and distressing.

That made me want to introduce the brand to our customers at GANKO.

I also find the idea behind the product names interesting. Using place names from different regions of Japan gives the collection a distinctive identity, while also making the names catchy and approachable for customers overseas.

From the construction of the garments to the way the products are named, you can really feel the brand’s sense of design.

And because the brand is produced by professionals with deep expertise in denim, the quality is beyond question.

For GANKO, I deliberately selected NEEDBY VINTAGE’s distressed denim pieces.

Even though this jacket features various treatments and finishing techniques, it has an unexpectedly luxurious character. It’s also very easy to incorporate as a contrasting element into a cleaner, more refined outfit.
