【素材】
・インド産のウールシープ原皮を使用し、植物タンニンで丁寧になめしたフルタン仕様のレザー
・平坦な印象になりがちなヘアーシープではなく、あえてウールシープを選定することで、程よい肉厚感とウェアに最適な柔らかい質感を両立
・仕上げはベージュ芯の下地にトップ顔料を施している
・職人によるエイジング加工を施し、長年使い込んだような深みのあるヴィンテージの表情を再現

ヴィンテージ好きの金子氏が作るレザーは細部まで拘りがあり、ですが日常使いもしやすいレザーになっております。実はブラックとフェードブラウンでサイズ展開が違いますが、フェードブラウンは
加工によりやや小さめのため、サイズ展開を変えております。フェードブラウンの方がワンサイズ小さいイメージです。例：ブラックサイズ２→フェードブラウンサイズ3といった感じです。

CCU / Sheep Leather Trucker Jacket

A sheep leather trucker jacket that reinterprets the vintage Type I silhouette.

Design

Based on the classic trucker jacket, reworked with contemporary pattern construction.

Faithfully incorporates authentic vintage details, including a riveted back cinch and removable change buttons.

The change buttons are not sewn directly onto the garment, allowing them to be removed and replaced as needed.

Practical zippered pockets are discreetly positioned along the side seams to preserve the authentic vintage appearance.

CCU’s first leather jacket produced in India, introduced this season.

Material

Made from Indian wool sheep hides, carefully tanned using vegetable tannins for a full-tan leather finish.

Rather than choosing hair sheep leather, which can sometimes have a flatter appearance, CCU has opted for wool sheep leather to achieve both a substantial feel and the softness ideal for garments.

Finished with top-pigment coating over a beige-colored base.

As the leather is worn and the surface gradually rubs away, the beige base begins to show through, creating a patina similar to traditional tea-core leather.

A relaxed boxy silhouette with a generous chest and dropped shoulders.

Model reference: 175 cm / 65 kg

Size 1: A just-right fit.

Size 2: Slightly relaxed.

Size 3: Oversized.

Please note: Sizing differs between the Black and Fade Brown colorways. The Fade Brown version fits slightly smaller due to its finishing process, so its size range has been adjusted accordingly. As a general guide, Fade Brown fits approximately one size smaller than Black. For example, if you wear Size 2 in Black, Size 3 in Fade Brown may provide a similar fit.

Buyer’s Voice

This new CCU design reinterprets the vintage Type I trucker jacket in sheep leather. When I tried it on at the showroom, it immediately stood out as one of the best pieces in the collection.

Although similar styles are available from other brands, I was particularly impressed by CCU’s approach: the accessible price made possible by production in India, combined with the relaxed proportions that feel distinctly true to CCU.

Designer Kaneko, who has a deep appreciation for vintage clothing, pays close attention to every detail, from the removable change buttons to the back cinch. Despite its authentic vintage character, the jacket is also practical and easy to wear in everyday life.

The leather itself is another highlight. The wool sheep hide offers a satisfying thickness while retaining the softness needed for comfortable outerwear. The beige base beneath the top-pigment finish also means the leather will gradually develop character as it wears, revealing a tea-core-like patina over time.

It is a jacket that combines vintage-inspired craftsmanship with the comfort and wearability of a modern leather piece.
