A high-neck cutsew made from exceptionally rare West Indian Sea Island Cotton.

Design
A simple, refined high-neck cutsew.
The neckline is designed with a comfortable amount of room rather than sitting too tightly against the neck, making it an approachable option even for those who are usually hesitant about high-neck tops.
Subtle side slits add a touch of movement and allow the piece to look complete when worn on its own.
The sleeves are joined along the underside, creating a distinctive design detail while also providing additional room around the arms for a comfortable, unrestricted fit.
Material

Made from a jersey fabric knitted with 100% West Indian Sea Island Cotton, using 50/2 two-ply yarn.

Jersey is one of the most common knit constructions used for T-shirts and other cutsews. It has a fine V-shaped knit structure on the face and a slightly looped texture on the reverse.

50/2 refers to a two-ply yarn made by twisting together two strands of 50-count yarn.

This construction combines the exceptionally smooth hand and natural luster of this rare extra-long-staple cotton with the stable, well-balanced feel characteristic of two-ply yarn.

Compared with a fine-gauge single yarn, 50/2 two-ply yarn tends to give the fabric greater stability and a cleaner surface. The result is a T-shirt fabric that is not simply soft, but also has a refined, beautifully finished appearance.

West Indian Sea Island Cotton

West Indian Sea Island Cotton is considered one of the finest and rarest cottons in the world.

Originating in the West Indies, particularly the Caribbean region including Barbados and Jamaica, it is characterized by exceptionally long, fine, and uniform fibers. These qualities give the resulting yarn an outstanding combination of strength and suppleness.

The fabric offers an exceptionally luxurious hand: silky smooth, soft, and moist to the touch, with minimal irritation against the skin, making it comfortable to wear directly against the body.

It also has a beautiful natural luster, with a refined sheen that is remarkably elegant for a natural fiber.

The reason for its rarity lies in the extremely limited areas where it can be cultivated, as well as the time- and labor-intensive traditional production methods, including hand-picking.

Annual production is extremely limited, accounting for only a very small portion of global cotton production, and the fiber is used extensively by high-end luxury brands.

AUBERGE, however, has continued to use this exceptional material as part of its ongoing commitment to developing high-quality cutsews.
