Nonnotteと言えばやはり素材の良さと着心地がとても良いのですが、
それを象徴するシャツの一つではないかと思っております。本当に水をまとっているかのような肌触りでして、羽織った瞬間に感動するような生地です。

A Draping Shirt Featuring a Wrap-Like Overlap, Made from “Eau de Chemise / W N”
DESIGN
Designed with overlapping front panels to create natural draping and subtle depth through the layered construction.
Rather than simply overlapping the front panels, the angle and volume of each panel have been carefully adjusted to create a dimensional expression where the fabric crosses.
Instead of shaping the garment closely around the body, the silhouette naturally takes form through the way the front panels overlap.
A signature nonnotte design that allows you to enjoy different proportions and balances in a single garment.
Although it is a shirt, it has a distinctive character reminiscent of a wrap top.
nonnotte’s approach to three-dimensional pattern cutting is expressed through the structure of the overlapping panels.
MATERIAL
“Eau de Chemise” translates literally as “water of the shirt.”
Although made from wool, the fabric is remarkably light and airy, with a feeling reminiscent of water.
It combines a fluid drape with a subtle degree of transparency, created to quietly redefine the traditional perception of wool shirts as heavy or warm.
While it can generally be described as “washable wool,” the fabric does not rely on chemical treatment. Instead, it uses a special yarn construction in which the fibers are wrapped into the inside of the yarn during spinning, with approximately 12% nylon incorporated into the core.
This construction provides the strength and shape retention needed for everyday washing without compromising the natural softness and refined texture of wool.
The yarn-dyed fabric gives solid colors a subtle depth, while stripes create a natural rhythm across the fabric without becoming overly prominent.
Beautiful even when worn straight from the wash, the fabric moves naturally with the body.
Its lightness and refreshing feel against the skin create the sensation of almost wearing a layer of water.
SILHOUETTE & SIZE
The appearance changes naturally with the wearer’s movements and gestures, offering a different expression when standing still and when in motion.
A drawcord made from the same fabric is incorporated into the hem. Lightly tightening it creates natural gathers and volume, producing a dimensional silhouette that gives the visual impression of being tucked in.
The construction allows the waistline to appear visually defined without actually tucking the shirt into your pants.
Leaving the drawcord relaxed creates a flatter, more fluid silhouette.
At 175 cm / 65 kg, Size 3 can be worn for a true-to-size fit.
At 175 cm / 65 kg, Size 4 can be worn with a comfortably relaxed fit.

Last year, the shirts from the “Eau de Chemise” series sold out much faster than we expected—in fact, they were gone on the very day they were released.

For this season, in addition to the previous styles, we selected this Draping Overlap Shirt, featuring an elegant wrap-like overlapping construction.

For GANKO, this is a slightly more challenging piece, or perhaps better said, a piece that we wanted to use as an opportunity to make a more forward-looking proposal.

It may be a step—or even two steps—ahead of what you might normally expect from us. But once you put it on, it looks incredibly good, and it is definitely a piece we would encourage you to take a chance on.

When it comes to nonnotte, the quality of the fabrics and the exceptional comfort are always major highlights.

We believe this shirt is one of the pieces that truly embodies those qualities.
