【デザイン】
・nonnotteから新型として登場した、Draping One-Tuck Tapered Trousers
・コレクションの中では比較的正統派のバランスで構成された、やや細身のテーパードトラウザー
・一見するとシャープなシルエットですが、単純に細く仕上げているわけではなく、ストレートの要素を残しながら、裾に向かって徐々に緩やかにテーパードすることで、自然で立体的なラインを形成
・しっかりと深めに取った股上と、十分な分量を持たせた渡りが特徴
・腰まわりから腿にかけて余裕を確保しながら、裾に向かって自然に収束させることで、身体のラインを直接なぞることなく、分量の中で整理されたテーパードシルエットを作りだす
・フロントにはワンタックを配置し、腰まわりの可動域を確保するとともに、身体の動きに沿ったドレープの導線を生み出す

・この素材が目指したのは、柄を見せるのではなく、柄を生地の中へ溶け込ませること
・Super 140'sの繊細な梳毛糸を使用することで、織りによる陰影が柔らかく現れ、光の当たり方や身体の動きに合わせて柄がゆっくりと浮かび上がる

A Quiet Tapered Trouser Made from Super 140's Shadow Jacquard – Ornamental Argyle
DESIGN
The Draping One-Tuck Tapered Trousers are a new model introduced by nonnotte.
A relatively classic and balanced tapered trouser within the collection, featuring a slightly slim silhouette.
While the overall impression is sharp, the trousers are not simply made narrow. A subtle straight-leg character is retained, with a gradual and gentle taper toward the hem, creating a natural, three-dimensional line.
A generously deep rise and ample volume through the thigh are key features of the design.
Room is maintained through the waist and thigh before naturally narrowing toward the hem, creating a refined tapered silhouette that organizes the generous volume without directly following the contours of the body.
A single front pleat provides additional ease around the waist while creating a natural path for draping as the body moves.
The pleat is kept deliberately understated, keeping the appearance clean while providing the necessary functionality and three-dimensional shape.
Compared to the wider silhouettes in the collection, the overall impression is sharper, while the actual fit remains comfortably relaxed.
Thanks to nonnotte's signature deep rise and generous approach to volume, the trousers maintain a slim appearance without feeling restrictive.

MATERIAL
Made from Super 140's Shadow Jacquard – Ornamental Argyle, a jacquard fabric that quietly reconstructs the traditional argyle pattern from nonnotte's perspective.
Traditional argyle patterns typically feature clearly defined outlines, allowing the pattern itself to become a strong visual element.
This fabric takes a different approach: rather than emphasizing the pattern, the design allows it to quietly dissolve into the fabric itself.
Woven from delicate Super 140's worsted yarn, soft shadows emerge through the jacquard weave, with the pattern gradually revealing itself depending on the angle of light and the movement of the body.
Up close, the argyle pattern is clearly present. From a distance, however, it quietly melts into the surface of the fabric, appearing almost as one beautifully composed textile surface.
This subtle depth of expression is one of the defining characteristics of the material.
Based on a traditional argyle structure, ornamental curves are woven into the pattern, adding an organic nuance to the classic geometric design.
This approach gives the fabric its name: “Ornamental Argyle.”
Rather than simply reproducing a traditional pattern, its decorative qualities are woven into the fabric as quiet shadows, giving the classic motif a contemporary expression.
Jacquard fabrics are traditionally associated with a high level of visual information. Here, however, richness is expressed not by making the pattern more prominent, but through the delicate interplay of light and shadow.
The pattern does not make an immediate, decorative statement. Instead, its expression changes with the movement of the person wearing it.
A distinctly nonnotte approach to jacquard: the fabric is completed through the way the garment moves together with the body.

This is the latest addition to the Shadow Jacquard series, which has been very well received by our customers every season since we began carrying nonnotte.

For this season, nonnotte has quietly reinterpreted the traditional argyle pattern through its own perspective.

The Shadow Jacquard series is truly something special. From a distance, the pattern is almost impossible to recognize, yet depending on how the light hits the fabric, the motif gradually emerges. Up close, it suddenly reveals a much stronger presence. It is a fascinating and slightly mysterious textile.

I personally own a piece from the Shadow Jacquard series, and while the comfort and ease of wearing it are certainly impressive, what I enjoy just as much is looking at myself in the mirror while wearing it. That sense of discovery never seems to fade, even long after the initial purchase.

If anything, the more I wear it, the more attached I become to it.

That is exactly how I feel about these trousers.

The fabric does have a certain substance to it, but even in the middle of summer in Tokyo, I never feel uncomfortable wearing it. I believe that has a lot to do with nonnotte's generous and carefully considered approach to patternmaking and volume.

This season, we have selected the trousers together with the matching shirt as a set-up.

We highly recommend experiencing the exceptional atmosphere created by the fabric and silhouette when worn together.
