Reconstructed in horse leather based on the design of mid-century workwear.
The silhouette can be easily understood as a leather interpretation of the iconic Levi’s Type I jacket.
Made from OLD JOE’s signature material, Patina Horsehide.
The distinctive aged finish, designed to naturally recreate the appearance of years of wear, is applied by hand to each individual jacket using an original recipe developed through countless rounds of trial and error.
Workwear-inspired details such as the double pleats at the front, donut-shaped metal buttons, and copper rivets are combined with a flat silhouette to create an authentic vintage-inspired aesthetic.
Pockets are placed along the sides of the body and inside the lining, providing excellent practicality.
The exceptional quality of this jacket delivers an outstanding wearing experience and a special sense of satisfaction every time you put it on.
【Material】
Made from horse leather characterized by a rough, tactile surface and a naturally uneven coloration, giving it a rugged and wild appearance.
Unlike softer horse leather, the natural texture and surface irregularities have intentionally been retained, making each jacket unique in its color and texture.
The lining is woven in a twill construction using cotton for the warp and wool-blend carded yarn containing colorful neps as the main weft material. An air-tumble finish combined with a washer finish enhances the naturally lightweight, soft, and voluminous feel characteristic of wool.

Compared to the sizing offered in recent years, this version has a slightly trimmer body width.

Over the past few years, many brands have released leather jackets based on this classic silhouette. However, OLD JOE has been producing this particular style for many years, regardless of trends. The previous version we carried was based on the Type II style, but this Type I version has a simpler and more classic appearance. I think it is particularly easy to incorporate into more refined, clean-cut styles as well.
